Well-Being Mapping

A human-centered framework to holistically analyze and support your student in an unfamiliar environment.

I work with students from all walks of life. To support them as they navigate a new country—and for some, the first time they’ve ever left their home state—I created this framework to inform how I support each student in front of me.

You may also use this as an active tool that encourages students to build self-awareness around their needs, habits, identities, and environments so they can understand how these areas show up in their daily lives– and how they might need to tend to those areas in a new environment. It can be used before departure, during cultural adjustment, or any time a student is experiencing change. The goal is to help them identify what supports them, what challenges them, and how they can advocate for themselves across different contexts.
